Empowering our communities
We give back to communities so they can make lasting, positive change.
Safe, secure & confidential
We help make debt relief accessible to everyone
We believe that our success is linked to the well-being of the communities we serve. Our charitable work isn’t something we do for recognition; it’s simply a part of who we are.
So how do we make a difference? We do it one donation, one project, and one community at a time. We don’t want to just imagine a better world; we want to build it. That’s why we love to give back on both a local and international scale, whether it’s donating to sports initiatives or supporting healthcare programs. Take a look below at some of our recent work.
If you run a charity or not-for-profit that needs sponsorship, get in touch with our team today.
The Hospital Activity Book for Children (HABFC)
We recently donated to HABFC, an initiative that has supported children since 1995. This program provides free coloring books to children in hospitals, pediatric centers, and victim support units, offering them a much-needed distraction during difficult times.
The books, designed with the help of Child Life Specialists from the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton and Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, are for children aged 2-12. They include a variety of activities, like dot-to-dot, coloring pages, and puzzles, to help children and parents communicate and take a mental break.
We proudly sponsored a page in the upcoming print of this activity book, supporting their mission to bring comfort and distraction to children when they need it most.
Credit Canada
At Harris & Partners Inc., we believe in the power of understanding your finances. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Credit Canada, pledging a monthly donation to support their credit education.
But it’s not just about money; moving forward, we’ll co-create content to share our knowledge on how to build a strong financial life. Our team will contribute to guest blogs and participate in webinars hosted by Credit Canada, providing practical advice to those looking to improve their financial health.
This partnership is all about making financial education accessible and easy to understand, empowering people to make better financial decisions for a more secure future.
Scarborough Health Network
We have pledged $100,000 to the Scarborough Health Network (SHN), over the course of 5 years.
The SHN aims to close the healthcare gap in Toronto through its three hospitals and numerous community-based satellite sites. With their leading expertise and facilities, their healthcare is accessed by people across Canada.
They are a community-affiliated teaching site for the University of Toronto and a member of the Toronto Academic Science Health Network. With our first donation being sent at the end of 2023, we are incredibly excited to see the SHN’s continued innovation, research and first-class patient care.
Chilliwack Search & Rescue
In June 2023, Harris & Partners donated $10,000 to Chilliwack Search & Rescue (SAR). With 45 volunteers logging over 20,000 hours, Chilliwack SAR is called out over 75 times per year.
The volunteer organization works under the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and helps with a wide variety of search and rescue services in the Chilliwack area. These include, but are not limited to:
- Ground search and rescue
- Technical rope rescue
- Avalanche response
- Swift water search and rescue
Sheba Medical Center
Harris & Partners is a Platinum Sponsor of the Canadian Friends of Sheba Medical Center.
Our donations to this registered charity helps support Sheba Medical Center’s cutting-edge medical research, educational training and compassionate care. With the charity’s support, Sheba Medical Center has provided pioneering, life-saving treatments to patients in Israel and around the world.
We were incredibly proud to attend the Canadian Friends of Sheba Medical Center event in May, and are excited to continue our support going forward.
The Greater Toronto Hockey League
We are proud supporters of the 2022-23 Vaughan Rangers U11 A team, in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL).
The GTHL encourages participation in minor hockey programs. Why? Because sports is one of the best ways for kids to stay active and healthy. But it’s not just about the game; through their programs, players learn invaluable teamwork skills and good sportsmanship – win or lose.
GHTL is more than just a sporting league, it’s a platform for young people to grow physically, socially and morally. In May, the 2022-23 Vaughan Rangers U11 A team won its division in the regular season, bringing home the city championship – an incredible season to remember.
Ontario Medical Association
This year, we proudly sponsored a golf tournament for the Ontario Medical Association (OMA).
The OMA plays a crucial role in advocating for doctors, ensuring they are equipped to provide outstanding care to all of us.
The funds raised at the tournament are earmarked for some truly impactful work: advancing health equity across Ontario. This initiative aims to smooth out the healthcare journey for all Ontarians, particularly for vulnerable communities, or those in northern and remote areas.
TBut that’s not all; a portion of the funds will also provide education bursaries, helping pave the way for the next generation of doctors. This isn’t just about financial help; it’s about ensuring the faces of our healthcare reflect our diverse communities across Canada.
Together with the OMA, we’re looking forward to nurturing a future where healthcare is equitable, accessible, and inclusive.
Freedom Daughters
In April 2023, we made a donation to Freedom Daughters, a dedicated initiative focussed on addressing the unique needs of women and youth.
The organization strives to provide access to holistic health, wellness and psychotherapy to racialized women and youth. Their overall goal is to positively impact the lives of women around the world, through providing quality tools, mentorship and essential skills learning.
Freedom Daughters wants to inspire confidence, purpose and excellence among the women and youth of our community. We proudly support initiatives like this that foster empowerment and provide opportunities for growth and education.
482 Collective
We recently donated to the 482 Collective. This remarkable organization helps women, children, and gender-diverse people who are recovering from gender-based violence.
They go beyond basic aid, offering essentials like food, hygiene products, and home necessities, allowing people to focus on healing and rebuilding their lives after experiencing repeated trauma.
One thing that really stood out to us is their genuine commitment to listening. They understand that rebuilding your life is a personal and unique journey. By respecting each person’s unique preferences, cultural background, and individual choices, they help people regain control and move forward with dignity.
These are the exact values we work by at Harris & Partners and why we are proud to support them. We’re excited to see the positive impact they will continue to make.
